Orders are accepted and promises for delivery given conditionally upon our being able to secure the necessary goods and without responsibility for delays arising through unforeseen manufacturing delays, strikes, accidents or other causes beyond our control. Modelli Fabrics will take all reasonable steps to advise clients of potential delays as soon as possible after an order is placed.
All risks in the goods shall pass to the customer on delivery, but the goods shall remain the property of Modelli Fabrics until paid for in full by the customer.
All care and attention is given to ensure that the technical information and advice is accurate but the seller does not warrant the accuracy thereof and the customer relies on the same at his own risk.
No goods can be released to clients until paid for in full.

All prices on the website include VAT at the current rate applicable. The VAT amount is displayed on the final order page. We abide by the code of practice covering the use of personal data as outlined in the Data Protection Act of 1998.
Customers ordering goods outside the EEC are responsible for any local taxes and/or duties incurred.
Customers can either make payment through our website or by phone on 01949 851 116 - however our phones can be extremely busy so in order to avoid frustration we always recommend clients to order online wherever possible.
If paying online, customers will be taken to Sage Pay for payment after the order has been placed on our site. This is a specialist external site which offers extremely secure payment processing and is fully certified accordingly. When payments are made via Sage Pay, monies are held in escrow and are only drawn down by Modelli once goods are shipped.
If paying by phone, customers should be aware that although payment is done via Sage Pay by us on their behalf, monies are taken at point of payment and not when goods are shipped. This is because we do not have, nor would ever ask for, personal password details which clients need to enter when paying online. Because we skip this step in the process payment is immediate. We can however reassure clients that paying by phone is just as secure as paying online. We keep no records of client card details, nor are any details kept on our site management system.

SAMPLE REQUESTS will be shipped the same day, providing requests are received before noon and assuming availability of sample material.
We are very happy to supply free samples to all clients making a serious enquiry. We would however respectfully ask that sample requests should not be made if the end use is for a craft project such as making a patchwork quilt, or in other words no intention of placing an eventual order. This has occurred on many occasions now and only results in wasted expense on our part.
BULK FABRIC ORDERS will be shipped via UPS for next day delivery. Modelli aim to ship bulk orders same day if received before noon, depending on stock availability.
HANDMADE CUSHION ORDERS are shipped within 10 WORKING DAYS of receipt of order.
OTTOMANS AND FOOTSTOOLS are shipped within 15 WORKING DAYS of receipt of order.
For BESPOKE customer orders (i.e., products which are not standard Modelli articles) the responsibility lies with the client to ensure that accurate measurements and information is supplied to Modelli at point of ordering. Goods are to be paid for at point of ordering and no cancellations will be allowed after this time.
Clients are also advised that cushion sizes as mentioned on the site refer to the size of the cushion cover prior to filling. The finished size once filled will be slightly less than the stated size.
Our standard carriage charge of £6.95 applies to all orders received, regardless of weight or quantity, and applies to deliveries made within the UK. Since we use third party suppliers to carry our goods, we cannot be responsible for failure to deliver on time, delivery to an incorrect address or loss of goods in transit. Clients are strongly advised to inform us at point of order if there are any special considerations to take into account when delivering goods - i.e., if an address is particularly difficult to find, if using GPS may be misleading etc.
In all cases clients will be informed as soon as possible about potential delays.
Goods will be shipped in one parcel up to a weight of 31kg, and any order over this amount will be split into more than one parcel.
Fabric is supplied to Modelli in rolls averaging 40-45m in length. Orders for a single article which exceed this may be cut from two rolls from the same batch in order to give colour continuity. If sufficient stock from the same batch is unavailable at point of order customers will be advised accordingly.
Modelli are very happy to ship worldwide. Please contact us to check delivery rates to your country. Modelli advise customers that we cannot be responsible for any additional costs arising from local import taxes.
The above information is valid for sample requests/orders placed Mon-Fri, bank holidays excluded.
Due to the nature of our business Modelli Fabrics consider each customer order to be a custom-produced order. For this reason we cannot accept returns on the basis that the customer either does not like the product or deems it unsuitable. We therefore strongly urge customers to request a sample cutting before placing bulk orders.
Goods must be inspected and checked before cutting. If the goods are received damaged, then they should be signed for as such and we must be advised in writing immediately. Goods will be exchanged.
No claims can be entertained or exchanges made once the material has been cut. Customers therefore should fully inspect fabric prior to processing.
Modelli Fabrics take all reasonable precautions to ensure batch and colour consistency and work within long accepted industry guidelines. We cannot however guarantee a perfect match from one batch to another, or indeed from a sample cutting to delivered goods. The fabrics shown on our website are an accurate representation of the actual product but we cannot be responsible for variations caused by monitor/browser settings which may influence the colour of the fabric.
The nature of the weaving process is such that there can be small faults present in a roll of fabric. In such cases, Modelli Fabrics will take all reasonable steps to minimise the number of faults present and will make appropriate allowances in accordance with industry guidelines. We cannot accept returns for reasons relating to the presence of faults.
No returns can be accepted or credited without prior agreement, therefore clients should email within 7 days of receipt of goods.
Cancellation of orders can only be accepted if the order has not been processed by Modelli Fabrics. Customers should be aware that our aim is to process orders the same day. Cancellations will be disallowed if goods have been cut and prepared for shipment in which case customers will be expected to pay in full for goods ordered.
Customers are required to pay for the carraige of any goods being returned unless the goods were either faulty or the order was sent out in error, in which case Modelli Fabrics will return the postage in full.
In the first instance any complaint should be made direct to our Customer Service Department via email and we will endeavour to resolve the issue fairly, confidentially and effectively within 28 days. This does not affect your statutory rights.

All Modelli upholstery fabrics are flame retardant as standard and undergo the most rigorous testing both prior to and after launching to ensure total compliance to British Standards. Every upholstery fabric we sell can be used for any domestic upholstery and soft furnishing purpose. Many are machine washable and suitable for contract use.
